The passing away of Admiral Mohsenzadeh, is a great loss to the Navy, the Nations and academic and military community. Admiral Mohsenzadeh, was undoubtedly, a great military man, a great academic, a great administrator and above all a great comrade and friend.
Admiral Mohsenzadeh shall be remembered with respect, affection and the special gratitude reserved for those who stood by their country and comrades in the time of need.
I had the honour of serving with him at Korramshahr naval base where I, immensely benefited from his ingenuous leadership, high moral attitude and support. Admiral Mohsenzadeh leaves a large gap in the lives of his many friends, respected family and on the ramparts of our country, during this critical period in the history.
My family and I, as members of the IIN family convey our deepest condolences to all, especially to his respected family. Admiral Mohsenzadeh and the likes are the pride of our nation and the larger human community. Mother Nature can hardly replace such great and unique characters. May God save his soul and preserve our loving nation, Iran and the people of Iran.

We, the IIN family have a wonderful and informative site thanks to dedication of one of our IIN proud family sons who single handedly is trying to keep our past glorious and sweet memories alive. The only contribution from us, the family members is to us it; keep it alive for our future generations so they are proud of us. Share our sweet and proud memories with our colleagues, their families and friends, I salute the proud Naavy, Mahnaavy, The non ranked staff and the friends of IIN, in particular George e Yoonani, the IIN photographer's family who share their memories with us. It is a pity to us this glorious site just as an obituary centre. We should not shay away from sharing, on this site, our past and present glories with each other, particularly the recent glories and achievements of ourselves, our children and grand children. Please keep it and use it. Don't loose it.

During the early morning of Saturday October 25th, our peaceful worrier, our captain, our Ti-Chi master, Alireza Hassani passed away to join his father, peacefully, in the company of loving family at his home in San Francisco. Alireza has heroically battled pancreatic cancer for the past year, and fought up to the end. Though we poured our hearts out in support of this great man during his most difficult time of need, it was Alireza who ended up supporting us with his unconquerable loving spirit. Alireza care and strength were a source of inspiration during his life, and will continue to be for the duration of our own. Thank you for your incredible love and support during this difficult period. While the past year has been devastating, the love which has emerged brought us all closer together in ways not otherwise possible. Our Alireza will be deeply missed, but love will keep him in our hearts forever. IIN personnel share his loss with his family and friends. Ravanash Shadbad

Thank you for posting us pictures of our Pedar Movaghari. The admiral has aged rapidly within the past couple of decades. The aging, we believe was not due to ill health or natural aging process, but was caused by the deep love sickness for Iran, the IIN and the Iranian people, the admiral adored so wholeheartedly. The admiral loved to serve, loved the people around him and above all, people who knew him felt deep respect for him. No surprise that he deservedly gained the nickname of Pedar Movaghari. The admiral was a great diplomat, statesman, administrator, leader and commanding officer. He shall be greatly missed. Our IIN admirals, commanders and superiors, were nation builders. They were the true sons of Persia. They were not only fathers to IIN, but fathers to the whole nation; they so dutifully built and profoundly loved. They were our mentors and roll models. They never promised us keys to heaven, but they thought us principles, pride, patriotism and passion for Iran. They thought us honesty in our conduct and the honor of being Iranians and serving Iran. They are never forgotten, as their glorious names are proudly engraved on the golden pages of the splendid history of our great, ancient nation. God bless their pure Persian souls and may God save our souls.

It was December 6, 1966 when me along with eleven other midshipmen landed at London Airport. Admiral Movaghari was a Naval Attache and he met us at airport in the early morning hours. He took few of us in his car and the rest in two three taxi cabs and arrived at a hotel. He did not leave until we were all settled in our rooms. I was not even 18, he did what my father would have done. That is why I called him PEDAR.

While composing my earlier note, I may have unintentionally omitted some of our greatest commanders, that their families and their achievements in the service of our beloved country are recorded in the contemporary history of Iran. Such as admiral Biglari, who passed away in Australia and Khodayari who passed away in Italy, probably lonely, in solitude, unknown and unnoticed. God bless their soils. They deserved formal state funerals and much better. This is because such great talents and our IIN family as a whole are scattered around the world, due to the strong tidal waves of present global political situation, sweeping us far away from our own shores. And now we hear, with sorrow, that another Persian patriot, admiral Movaghari, a great statesman and commander is in his sickbed. Our prayers are with him and his family. May God save his soul? IIN was, not only, an efficient, combat ready force, but it was a tight and close family unit. IIN was not only a job for us, but it was an enjoyable and pleasant lifestyle. IIN was not only a workplace, but a loving and happy family home for all of us in particular for the brave non commissioned officers, civilian support staff and sailors, whose pride and passion for our great homeland is undeniable. These great men and women worked very hard under the harshest of conditions, with minimum expectations. They were pioneers and on the front line of Iran’s development from Khark to Bushehr, Bandar Abbass and Chahbahar. Serving our country at a time, when very few people would work in such places which lacked even the most basic living essentials. But where are all those great men and women now? God be on their side as, I am sure they are missed by all of us. I would like to pay my respect and gratitude to the organizers of this great IINavy site. I believe this site belongs to all the IIN family. It should be used as a base and meeting place, where we can receive news form our old friends, particularly the non commissioned officers, civilian support staff and seaman, as they constituted the core of our family net and are missed the most. I frequently visit this site, in the hope that I may receive news from an old friend, in some far remote corner of the world and thank God that they still alive and well. Even my immediate family members, who have little memory of my past, crave for any news of my colleges. I just wished this site was used more for friendly exchange of greetings.

It is of immense sorrow to hear that the creams of our II navy family are perishing to premature deaths. First gone are great navy men in their fifties and early sixties, such as captains Zargary, Abusaidan, Orumi, Nayeri and Daryoosh Rafiee. Who mostly served on board old ships, where the insulation of their boilers, machineries and most quarters were infected with asbestos? In the western civilized societies, such great men receive recognition for their services to the nation; and their families are financially compensated for the agony of a prolonged illness and premature death of the head of the family. But our colleges and their families received no recognition, gratitude or compensation. Such is life and death in our parts of the world. Then, we hear of the sad and premature deaths of our country’s greatest assets, admirals Rassaii,Ardalan and Rafiee. In no tongue can we eloquently describe the vast contributions of these true Persians to our navy family and our beloved Iran. It is said broken heart and nostalgia kills the greatest of men. Undoubtedly our great and dear admirals endured both. They were heat broken in observing the decline of their beloved homeland and the destruction of what they built and believed in. And worst still, were the continuous bad news about heath and wellbeing of their country, family, friends and colleges. They were nostalgic, as they could rescue neither their friends, nor their country. In a country where the Mullahs enjoy long lives into their early 100’s; the deaths of our dearest colleges in their fifty’s, sixty’s and seventy’s is premature. But Mullahs and preachers have no accountability for what they preach, thus are immune to stress and sorrow; the main cause of premature death of the greatest leaders.

Dear All, Merry Christmas and happy new year. We have such a handy and useful tool as this website that is underutilised. It is a pity that we have been waiting for a long time for the pictures of the reunion, but received none from no where. Please let us unite, use this website and communicate. It is OK for some to have their exclusive clubs and communicate with each other but this website belongs to all of us free. Belongs to all the family of IIN and we expect to receive our family news here on this website. Please let us use it, communicate and receive news from our many long lost friends.

This is in response to Mr. Brian (the Historian): Thank you for your kind words, but before you decisde to use your tacktical Nuclear bomb I would like to suggest another civilized way to bring down the Islamic government in Iran, bring peace and stability to Iraq and Afghanistan. In doing so we have to make the following assumptions: 1- US is truely interested in peace in middle east. 2- The key members of the Islamic republic of Iran are not brought to power by CIA to establish the UNITED ISLAMIC REPUBLIC (when established will be made up of Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan)in order to fill the vacuum created by the fall of communism in the Soviet union. The Western war machine manufacturers need a big scare crow to give excuse to their governments to tax their citizens to death so they can build more killing machines and tacktical bombs. Solving Iran problem: As you said you are historian; the Shiiat Islam can only survive on blood and violence (History 101), therefore waging war on them will only make them strong (gives the government excuse to arm themselves). In order to topple the government in Iran western democracies should try to attack the violations of freedom and human rights in Iran not the access to nuclear energy. This is the only uniting subject that west does not understand. DO NOT pick subjects that unites the enemy, take subjects that divides them (history 101). Try to inform the Iranian masses of the corruption that runs in the Islamic government and many more abuses that are beyond this article. Iranians need someone to point these abuses by their government so they can feel they have support in the outside world, not enemy who wants to vaporize them. This one policy over time will bring down the Islamic republic (guaranteed). Solution to Iraq disaster: After coordination and planning with the coolition commanders. US president shall go on Iraqi television and tell Iraqis that US removed Sadam in order to bring peace and freedom to Iraqis, but over the past several years it seems that the problems among different Iraqi factions are deeper than anybody can imagine. Western allies have lost billions of Dollars and several thousend of their finest men and woment to give Iraqis a chance to live free, but it seems that they are not aware of this opportunity and have no clue what freedom is. Therefore, from within four weeks US will pull all his troops from all cities and locate them in the borders with Iran and Syria in order to prevent anyone coming in or out of these countries. These forces will remain in the borders until the half trillion Dollars spent to free Iraqis paid back to US tax payers by Iraq. The lives of young men and women lost will be a gift from Americans to Iraqis, but any further casulties will add to the half trillion debth. Then let Iraqi factions start killing each other until they run out of weopens or men whichever comes first. Then you will see how peace will be established by Iraqis for Iraqis (History 101). Same policy can be done in Afghanistan. Is this too hard to do. So Brian at mean time do this: 1- Write a letter to all institutions that they offered you courses in histroy and ask for refund because they milked you out of your money and thought you noting right about the history of Middle East. 3- When you arm yoursef to the teeth, the first solution & only solution to any situation will be full use of those arms. Historians if educated properly should advise their government to engage their brain power rther than the nuclear power. Based on your history knowledge, the LA police should have vaporized the east LA residents during Rodny King beating riots!

This is a very interesting site! Thanks to all who contributed to making it. I've learned alot about recent-history of Iran here - although as a student of ancient and medieval history, I am very familiar with the "great ages" of the Persian nation. I see the remarks here of so many thoughtful and RATIONAL Iranian nationals - which I believe also reflects the view of the large majority of Iranians in Iran. Iranians are a great, ancient people of one of the world's most important and oldest civilizations. And yet, today, your country is in the control of men who are half-mad. I am not criticizing Islam here - from the statements the political leaders make, I can find very little of what the philosophy of Islam teaches, and the rhetoric they constantly are making. I'm afraid Satan has gained control of these men's psyches. I fear that, in order to prevent these irrational fanatics from getting their hands on atomic weapons, the USA and its allies may be forced to militarily strike Iran in the very near future. NO ONE wants this! Only a complete idiot desires war. IF this comes about, I, on behalf of all good-intentioned Americans want to assure all Iranians that this would in NO WAY be an attack on the Iranian masses. However, I can see no practical way of avoiding innocent civilian casualties, especially if small, tactical nuclear weapons are determined the only sure way of destroying or at least making the Iranian nuclear weapons development sites unusable. I pray to God that this somehow can be avoided. But with every new statement made by Ahmadinejad and the ruling Mullah regime, my fears grow that it won't be possible. To prevent the greater world war, Iran may have to be severly injured in ways no thinking person could ever desire or take such a step without long consideration. Let every Iranian know that if this does come to pass, the United States and the other peace-loving nations of the world will stand ready with humanitarian assistance and political assistance for the new generation of Iranians that want to make their country a great nation again with its rightful place among the fellowship of nations of the world. I can only wonder what the Middle-East would be like today if everyone would just go on with life, and family, and the enjoyment of nature that God has provided for all of us, and drop all the fanaticism and national hatreds. All should just let go of their hate and desire for revenge of any previous wrongs done to them and just let God sort it all out in His way. I pray that one day Arab, Jew, Persian, etc. can all work together in peace and security for the betterment of all. Perhaps on that day the Iranian navy can be a force for good and security from pirates and other criminals.

During my Navy training it was drilled in my head that one man can sink a ship. This is precisely what happened to Iran. One man’s indecision caused the downfall of a nation and the sacrifice of several generations. All this of course is water under the bridge; in Iran's case it took the bridge with it. The question is how to get ourselves out of this utter mess. Do we still dwell in the past in what was and what could have been, or do we analyze and conduct a lessons learned in our minds. Sitting around and reminiscing in the past while gargling down a fifth of scotch is no therapy and will not solve our nation’s problems. This is a great site however it will only add to some folk’s depression. It is only a matter of attitude and perspective. Unfortunately as long as there is no unity and trust amongst our people, enemies like these will always take advantage and take our society and nation apart. There needs to be a plan, people need to put their egos aside and build a coalition for the central cause, the salvation of a nation and heritage. Barrowing a quote from Star trek, “the good of the many out weighs the needs of the few or the one”. If you all get this then we are halfway there. God Bless!!!!

Dear Friends, imagine every political party in the world to have a military wing also. Then what will happen to Americans if Republicans and Democrats each had their own millitia! more than half of Americans would be dead now. This is the reality of Islam, the Islamic thugs with their multi brand of political parties force upon their people to have a millitia wing also (this is in addition to their military). This is what is happening in Lebanan and Iran. Hezbullah in one hand is in politics and has some members in congress and at the same time has a military wing. Islamic republic (Thanks to president Carter who is now hiding behind his Habitat for Humanity) is the same way. Thanks to Prime minister of Israel that has recognized this and is fighting these evils. I hope he suceeds. The UN should fire all nation members that have as their government political parties that also have military wings. This type of governments should not be recognized by any democratic government in the world. I wish I was young and then would go and kick some Hezbollah butt in Lebanon. God bless those who put their lives on the line to terminate these thugs.

Dear Visitors, I am signing this book on the Honor of my beloved uncle Mohammad Moussavi whom was executed and for my dearest Father Reza Moussavi who was taken away from me for a very long time. As a child I had so many pain full memories that I don't wish for any child to experience it, going to a prison every week to visit my father was a painful thing to experience as a 6 year old child, seeing my Dad's un-shave face was heartbreaking he is a person who was never seen wit ha beard. Now that I am expecting my first baby , I can only feel how bad it must have been for my Mum and family to loose everything over night. I hope that one day I can take my baby back to Iran and show him/her only the good things about Iran about history and where we were from ! I hope by then people would learn to respect the men who built our country and was thrown to jail for that. Thanks for a beautiful website and thanks for putting my uncles picture in there along with many other Navy uncles that I have.Miss you all Sahar

I can't believe how accuratly Babak has summed the situation of IRAN. I wish that IRAN will one day return to it former glory days. Why has our beautiful country always been put down, when it was at a stage of Greatness. 1) Under the Achaemenids we had the known world out our feet, then "Alexander the not so great" came and ruined things, we went back to the dark ages. 2) Under the Parthians we started to head in the right direction again. 3) Under Sassanian, our land reached its peak. There are so many things attributed to them that is just amazing, but then the Arabs came destroyed our Zoroastrian ways, converted us to ISLAM, and sent us back to the dark ages. 4) Throughout the many dynasties afterwards, we had highs and lows. Safavid IRAN showed the world its splendour, while the Qajars could only rip off the people and the land for their own benefit. Not to forget Nader Shah, and his military conquests at a time when IRAN was under the Afghans. 5) Then we come to the Pahlavis, Reza Shah the Great in the first ten years of his reign did more for the country than the Qajars ever did. He modernised the country quickly and effectively. His son continued his work and although starting off as a weak 21 year old, he gradualy did what was best for the nation and truly served its people, but again these damn mullahs who were on the paychecks of the west. The same Western countries that didn't even care about our Neutrality during the WWI and WWII, now to overthrow the ShahanShah Aryamehr was in their best interest. Like he said in an interview while in exile "I find it hard to believe that one man (khomeini) could control the people without the help of an organisation" the organisation was offcourse the CIA and various other western nations activiely working to get him out (mostly USA & UK) Then it has been exactly how Babak explained earlier in the guest book. Everything we see is controlled by them, if they wanted a revolution in IRAN, then could bring in Reza Pahlavi II tomorrow, but ofcourse they won't do that until they have taken everything the want. Sometime i feel that oil or any other resource brings with it a curse!!! THANK YOU DEAR PATRIOTS FOR LETTING ME EXPLAIN MYSELF
Hamid

Dear X-IIN members, It was sad to hear the passing of one our memebers, Mr Madani. Iheard that many attended his memorial back Los Angeles (most of whom are now excited by promisses that are being given by western world that now they are ready to change Iranian popet goverment). I need to remind my brothers of the following facts: 1- Islamic republic was created by the west. 2- Islamic republic at the begining was given all the intalligence support of the west in order to survive (the massacre of participants of NOJee KODETA members, do you remember, DA!). 3- When that massacare of our brave pilots and army officers did not work, the 9 year war with IRAQ was imposed on us (remember ; over one million dead and several million crippled, DA!). 4- Islamic Republic was proven then that can only survive on blood. 5- Western world no they see that again Islamic Republic is in danger again (from within) and based on their priviuos experience, a new hostility, this time with the west will give the brutal Islamic rullers an excuse to survive few more years (the issue of access to Nuclear enegy is the best scenarion to move the Iranian young generation behind this barberic regim, and in my view it has no other credibility, this is a JANGH ZARGARY that west has started 6- It is possible that in order to add to the spice of supporting this regim, west most likely will bomb certain locations that they claim Islamic republic is building nueclear bomb material (which in fact they are only some buildings with some mechanical elements (like in the wester movies to make it look like a credible manufacturing plants), in order to stregten the regims basis and avoid a revolt agaist them by the young generation of Iranians. So, please do not fall into this trap and start voicing your opposition with the father of the future UNITED ISLAMIC REPUBLIC (IRAN, IRAQ, Syria, Palestine, AFghanista, Pakistan) which is to fill the Soviet UNions fearsome position in the years to come, so again west can milk their citizens for many many years to come to build their war machines. And if you rise your vice now they will kill you to supress the opposition from outside. The green belt is in the making and no body can stop it, you hear? DA!

Thank you for reminding me that we had a great country and dedicated men and women who helped shaped our history. My father was in the Iranian ground Forces for most of his life, only to be disgracefully discharged without pay, by the islamic republic because they didn't like his father's religion. He once told me a story about a group of his friends who dared to change the course of the revolution by staging a military coup. He was asked to provide artilary and ammo from his base (an ammonution base)in east of Tehran. He told me he lost a lot of good friends as the mission was jeoperdised... To this day I have had a lot respect for my father and his friends who dared to challenge the mollahs and Fight for their country's freedom.

This is another sad announcement I have to share with you. Unfortunately Admiral Ahmad Madani has passed away because of cancer at Colorado U.S.A. on Feb 13, 06. Beside his political motivation(which I did not understand were he was driving to)he was a real gentelman. Although I belive he was not a good naval officer(as a naval carrier point of niew)he was a nobel person. I do remember in early 60's which there was not much in Bandar Abass naval base and he was stationed there as the base commander, couple of times which I visited there in those days noticed he was so generous to his crew and the poor people of area that each month most of his personal salary was spending to help the needy ones. Because of his political motivation during his naval carrier he hardly got a high position in the navy, except while he was attending the naval war college in Newport Road Island U.S. in early 70's he became top of his class that year, an honor which none of other Iranian naval officers which attended that coure could achive(including myself). You judge the people while they are in high position and have power to exercise. Some pepole will be a true gentleman and some become as evil and even harm the people who help them to get to that position. Admiral Madani was the sample of first catagory, when he became in charge of Iranian navy and also governer of Khosestan in late 1979 with the cooperation of Admiral Allavi they were especially helpful to other Iranian naval personnel, which were in trouble and needed help, even those who were not nice to him while they had power. He helped some of officers and enlisted man got out of jail and whom ever wanted to leave Iran because of political hard ship helped him in any capacity that he could do so. I will always remember him as a true gentelman and am sure you will do so. We all miss him greatly and pass our condoles to his family and frinds. Houshang Behrous California U.S.A

This is to all Americans as our hosts, friends, husbands, wives, coleagues and especially all who were illigally detained and tortured by a group of terrorist who called themselves "Students" in the US Embassy take over 25 years ago. As one of the IINAVY's x-officers I am ashamed today that the Iranian president elect! is a terrorist and a captor of an Embassy of a sovereign nation. This criminal broke the international law 25 years ago and a dumb mullah named KAKA maimi approved of his action. This happened in an ancient nation that has been the home of liberty, arts, peace and freedem of humanity, the land of Cyrus the great, Ferdowsi, Hafez, Saadi and many more.I hope our American friends and allies undersatnd the situation and will help us to get rid of this nightmare. God bless Iran and God bless America.

Well as I had said in October 24, 2004 (see below). mullas will play the nuclear tech game during Bush administration. The fact is these dumb guys they already have bought a nueclear bomb, but they don't know what to do with it (As per recommendation of their supplier they are building a nuclear technology around it in order to make it look like they built it themselves so that the supplier will not be revealed). They have been trying to make a use of it by saying allah o akbar many times but that has not worked, they are scared of it. This is like a big bite that they have taken and it is caught in their mouth and it is stuck there! They can't even return it for refund. My recommendation to mullas is that they should sit around it and while singing light it up and see the power of God first hand! Recently "The House of Mullas" crowned a new dumb guy as president, may be he should sit on this bomb and try it first had, he will definately see the God very quickly!

Pretty soon we are going to need these addresses to go after these people to arrest them. This is the duty of every Iranian at this time in our history. You will be told what to do with these names and addresses. Those who get this message please acknowledge at this web site. Thanks

Not to be rude, but i don't think that Islam has anything to offer anyone. We were amongst the first on the ground in Afghanistan and saw what the Talibs did in the name of Islam and how they killed people for entertainment. We Persian were forced with to become Muslims, they killed the men raped the women and used the rest as slaves. I defended the Muslim struggle until I saw what they did in the name of the so called allah. We Persian believed in Ahura Mazda and pahlevans. We never killed, raped or sold people in the name of our gods. No there will not and has not been anyone like the pope. Hope fully the time of the mullahs will come to an end soon, and if the Almighty Ahura Mazda wants I'll be there to help them on there journey to meet Asto Vidatu. javid bad Reza shahe dowom wa takavaran

Dear Colleagues, A great man (Pope John Paul II) pased away on April 2,2005. It came to me if all mullahs can get together and select one mullah to be the leader of islamic world! imppossible! any body who reads this, please if you can tell us 1- What in the world Iranians ended up with the most radical sect of Islam while everthing else we have is not so religius based ( like our celebration of New Year, etc.). 2- Do you think that a religion (Islam)which promotes hate, jealousy, destruction of other successful people, male dominated and exclusive of other people/cultures could ever have one voice, do you think this religion can have great people like John Paul the 2nd as their leader, ever? 3- Compare our latest Imam (Khomaini) with John Paul, which one do you think is nearest to God? Or God is proud of?

For those of you how have been invited or knew about it and did noy attend I must tell you have missed a wonderful opportunity to see our old frindes and colleges with their beautiful families in a very friedly environment party. I am talking about old naval officers reunion party which was held on March 13, 05 at Newport Beach in California. I know some of you have the excuses of is too far from where you are living or have other engaements, but those excuses are always existed and each day passes they get bigger and bigger, but these opportunities become more and more scared. Each year we loose some of our frinds(for last year unfortunately we have lost 4 so far) and these numbers are incresing the further we go ahead. I had to travel 85 miles to get to sleeping place after pary was over that night and travel another 500 miles the folloing day to get to my home, but every mile of it did worth for me to travel and attend thet party. The attendance were about 130 people, there were some officers with their family which have come from Washington DC. ,Dallas Texas, or even I heard some came as far as Newzerland. That is what I say to have determinations.First we should thank Mr. and Mis Zolgaghari, also Mr. Deylami for their hard work and effort to put this party together, which started at 6 pm. in a very nice located resturant with delicious or dove, plenty of gormmet Persian foods and desert, losts of drink, even so many prizes and very delighful D.J Music lasted pass midnight.Ther was no talk of politics, no plan how to get promoted or get better rank or position for future as indivjuals,or try to convince some one or a group for our future benefit, becasue it was purely voluntarily to attend. It was all about remaiding ourselves of good old days and bring back some of those good memories. That was all about, I enjoyed personally ever part of it and was delighted to see all of my old frinds are healthy and doing great with their lives alongside their beautifull families. Good wishes for all of you guise. Houshang Behrouz

Dear All This is a response to Mr.Bill Smith's letter on 15th. Dec. 2004, which was also sent to him personally: In response to your visit to Iranian Navy Website,I would have to remind you some facts: This website is not about Aryan or any other race to be proud of as Persian Empire along with Romans glory are now history.Being Aryan is about the culture and comradeship that no one could change it after centuries. But I wounder what you will be proud of after US Empire will fall one day( like USSR).Obviously nothing much would be expect from people who didn't even know the taste of potato before America was discovered so you might even be wiped out for ever. Second,no one would interfere with you on your way to Iraq since you gave them Chemical Gas and other nasty weapons to use on poor Kurdish people and of course Aryans. That is a great responsibility of you to go and get them back...since no one was prepared to clear your mess. And finally,I had a chance to talk to an American soldier few days before the war on Iraq. She was depressed and had no idea what she was doing though she knew she was there in Kuwait for more money.Another one had come from a town in US names Baghdad and he didn't even know any other Baghdad in his life!! So..next time when you go to war, rather than begging British Troops to come along and take over the intelligent part of warfare,be advised to go and learn yourself why and where you are going to fight otherwise you might even strike your fatherland by mistake.

Dear Comrads, Islamic republic again played a hand that most likely will change many minds in USA to vote for Kerry (by supporting Bush they actually gave him a negative point in the eyes of American voters). Most likely many Iranians and some Americans due to their hatered of Islamic regim will swing their minds and vote for Kerry (this is what Islamic repulic ment to happen). They hope that if Kerry is elected they can survive another four years, but if Bush is elected they are going to play the Nueclear technology game as ransome for surviaval. Now it is clear who has been supporting the Mullahs since Carter gave birth to the Islamic regim. All of you out there in America think twice who you vote for and remember that the source of the Islamic terrorism rests in the house of Mullahs in Iran.

Thank you for the wonderful site. Browsing through it made me proud and somehow sad. Sad that the days of such a proud military that could match that of any other nation are now long gone, thanks to the incompetence of the clerics. Thanks again.

I need to add that the IRAQI KAKAMAIMI is now created (it is ironic how in a mater of three month the next KAKAMAIM of Iraq was created from nothing, he; Al-Sader, will soon replace Al-Sistani who will die of old age). This how our regin looks like. Forget about kingdom!

Dear Comrads! From The three groups of power in Iran: first the hard line Islamists lead by Montazeri, second Todeh party group lead by Khatami are finally out of picture. The so called "Islamic Fundamentalists" lead by Mr. Khamenai (who is either being supported by US Democrats or Republicans) will soon have the total control. My prediction is next year we will see the softening of relation between US and Khameniei regim! don't be surprised and accept the facts.

I was happy to find your site, but saddened to learn of the loss of F-27 and F-28 in the Iraqi War. In friendlier days, I was in the US Navy, and these ships were in Norfolk. I made numerous friends aboard these vessels, and was a guest aboard these ships almost daily. They were fine ships with fine crews. I say this as a sailor who wishes for all sailors to be able to return safely from the sea, and sincerely mourns those who do not. It is a brotherhood which transcends nations. May the One God - regardless of how we name Him - watch over the souls lost on those two ships.

This is not good news, but I have to shear it with all of my frinds and Iranian Naval perssonel . Couple of months a go after a successful heart serjeray Admiral Ramzi Attaie will fall down and break his heap. Although he has recovered now and is walking with the aid of walker and canes but he needs our supports and prayers for his full recovery. We all know these days medical resech shows pray is very effective in healing and recovery of patients. So lets be positive and do some pray for such a fine gentelman. I know all of you are so pressured and frustrated with the terrible news about destructions, security and other events such as economy, social life and ...., which are happening in Iran, Europe, U.S.A. and all around the world these days. These are the result of differences in ideology, religion belife, political interest also including projidos and jealousy. Where could we have imagin a 17 year old girl goes inside of a buss full of innocence people and blows up every body including hersef?! Things are not grtting better untill all human race works toward a unity and leave behind all I mentioned above, and that is a long long way ahead. So don't be optimistic for the near future, and lets be at least good to each other and pray for every body's goodness. I was right couple of years a go when said all remains in life are some memories, so lets make it a good one. Let me finish with a poem from Hafez. "CHOON AGHEBATE KARE JAHAN NESTIEST _ ENGAR KE NISTY,CHO HASTIY KHOOSH BAASH." Happy Nowrooz Houshabg Behrouz California

Dear Comrades, First of all, thank you Mr. Behrouz for your kind words, I am sure that my father appreciates it. It is true, all my father ever talks about is his love for his officers and for the IIN. Although life has presented us all with circumstances that one could have never imagined back in the pre-revolutionary days, the bond that you all share is one that I have never seen equaled. For this you should all be proud and hope to pass this tradition of honor along to your children as my father has tried with me. I only hope that one day I can return to the country of my birth and realize my heritage. Until then, I am lucky to have my father and all of you to remind me of how blessed I am. By the way, I will be with my father next Wednesday in Las Vegas as he is having surgery on his heart. (I guess you guys just had way too much fun in all of those ports-of-call!) I will pass along all of your well wishes. Although he is physically weak, he has a will and humility that I have never seen matched. Aside from his children and grandkids, his fellow IIN officers bring him the most joy in this later part of his life and give him a reason to keep holding on. Thank you all for your love and continued support. All the best, Amir Abbas Attaie

Last week while I was in Las Vegas had the pleasure of meeting admiral Ramzie Attaie one of ex C-IN-C of I.I.N. I spend the whole eveninig with him, although he was not physically strong enough brcause of some back and shoulder surgery he has had in last year or so, but mentaly he was very bright and his memory was as sharp as a knife. I told him every person I talk to and knows you passees his regards for you and you are very favorite among all of the old Iranian Navy personnel. His respons was that "this is the investment of my life". He said I have no bad memory from any person in the past and my memories are all good ones. He told me he is so proud and satisfied from his naval carrier that if he will be borne again in this life that is exactly what he will choose to be. He was showing a photo of one of his grand child to me which was only a week old, and telling me if I knew the grand child's are so darling, I would try to have grand chideren first and then the childeren. We talked about every thing from childhood memorry to naval carrier and even of today's politics. He asked me to pass his best regards to any naval personnel or civolian that I will communicate in the future, and I promised to do that. When the time was getting late at night I escorted him back to the car to go to his resident and myself back to my hotel room with plenty of good old memories. Houshabg Behrouz

Today I received the sad news of passing Mr. Abdullah Zargari in Iran. We the community of retired naval officers have lost a throuhg gentleman and a fine dedicated person in our community. Many years ago I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Zargari as the chief engineer officer onboard my ship, He was one of those officers which captured my trust through his hard working, knowledge, consistency and honesty. After that we bacame good friends and always I used his thoughts and advises on my daily life. I met him couple of times back in U.S. a few years ago, although he was diagnosed with prostate cancer but his sprit was very high, and his general knowledge about life was amazing. At this time my hart goes to his family especially his wife Effat Zargari, and I wish them the patient during these difficult times. Houshang Behrouz California U.S.A.

Assalam Alekum I was searching for Baloch names and all of sudden while surfing I came to this site, well I feel a close affinity with Iran as my ancestors came from Tehran region, ( I am a Sindhi Baloch i.e. I am a resident of Sind province of Pakistan but I speak Balochi, my Balochi I am told by people who know real Balochi is more like a mixture of Farsi, Balochi and Sindhi :)) I saw some Balochi rugs on display on TV (NBC) in the US once and was impressed. I feel we need more cooperation between Iran and Pakistan now that Pakistan's PM is from Balochistan province. Like Iran Sind and Balochistan are rich is oil but alas the money goes to the multinationals and not to the Sindhis or Balochs.

Hello again!! Could anyone please provide me with some information on how to make contact with the crew/captain of naval vessel IIS ROSTAM? My father, whom I am trying to trace, served on this ship back in the seventies, and I would greatly appreciate any leads on how to go about contacting him via the Iranian Navy services. My fathers name was ESSY GORGIN.

Hello there! I am a half English, half Iranian lady - desperately trying to trace my Iranian father, whom I have never met. He served on IIS ROSTAM (I believe this ship is no longer in service now!) His name is Essy Gorgin. (I believe Essy is short for Esmail - but am not 100% sure of this!) He was based in Portsmouth in 1973 - 1974 where he met my mother. He would now be in his mid-fifties, and is believed to be residing in Terhan/Karaj. (Again, not totally sure which place of residence is correct!)Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou very much. Best Wishes, Carla.

Dear colleagues and friends; thanks for your site which keeps us connected. Seems like Iranian young generation is waking up and realizing that Iran is actually run by bunch of renegade Arabs, runaway KGB members and faceless Toodeh party members for years resided in USSR. But as our history has shown all these barberians will either be educated or kicked out of Iran sooner or later. It is time for all foriegn countries who have been throwing life lines to non-representative government of Persian (Iranian-ArabicIslam)people to stop, we might forgive but we will never forget! God bless all Persians and long live Great Persia.

To all brave men and women of Iranian Imperial Navy. As an Iranian who lives outside Iran, I'm asking all of you the defenders of our nation and people to lend me a hand and help to support a resolution, which is on the floor of US House of Representative HR-140, and condemn the opposing resolution HR-59. House resolution HR-140 link is: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/C?108:./temp/~c108qULgRH House resolution HR-59 link is: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/C?108:./temp/~c108xtMdbX HR-59 Calls for dialogue and normalization of relations between Mullahs, and US and giving Mullahs chance to make our people suffer longer. HR-140 calls for freedom and liberty for the people of Iran and condemns any support for the Mullahs. HR-140 calls for investing in the people of Iran specially the younger generation. At this time as Iranians living outside we should take it upon ourselves to get involved and help our people. Congressman Chris Cox is the cosponsor of HR-140. Orange County Office: Christopher Cox One Newport Place, Suite 1010 Newport Beach, CA 92660 Phone: (949) 756-2244 Fax: (949) 251-9309 christopher.cox@mail.house.gov As Iranians we need to encourage him and give him our support by sending him a thank you note via phone, fax, or e-mail (FAX WORKS BEST). If you would like to help, please fax him a simple two-line fax saying: "Congressman Cox: I would like to thank you for supporting HR-140, Please encourage your colleagues in congress to support HR-140." If you choose to help, I thank you in advance, and would like to ask you to get as many people as you can to fax the same type of fax to Mr. Cox. Supporters of Islamic Republic are spending a lot of money lobbing for HR-59. This is the only way we can make the voice of our people to be heard here in US. Hopefully one day Iranians enjoy the same kind of freedom and liberty as we do here in US. And if you wish not to participate, would you please help me to get this fax to those who may want to help. My e-mail address is: Liberty4iran@yahoo.com

Just discovered your webpage & find it very interesting. I served aboard the U.S.S. Zellars DD-777 --- BABR 7 from 1953 till 1956 - I was a torpedoman. The topedo tubes were long gone when the Ship was sold to your Country. We have a reunion every year for the old shipmates. We are also an association which I am the president. I would like to hear from some of the Iranian sailors who served aboard the BABR - we could swap photos & keep one another informed. It would also make interesting conversation at our Ship's reunion to know that the old Ship is still floating. I know it serves you proud. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who served aboard. This message was dictated by my father to me after I showed him this website for the first time. He wanted me to post this: Dear Fellow Officers, I am so glad that I can communicate through this with all of you. It is a pleasure to see someone keeping the Imperial Iranian Navy alive after more than twenty three years. We had a good family as a navy, fellow officers, and I am glad that we are still keeping it that way. God Bless you all and if you want to get in touch with me send an e-mail to my son and he will inform me of your messages. Special thanks to Bahram Minovi for keeping our memory and past alive. God Bless you all. Goodbye, Ramzi Attaie.

Shlama, Hi, I visited Iran twice. My last time was in 1976. I was than around 14 year old. I lived in Iran for three month. I liked the king, his wife, and his children. It was so said to see that the king trusted ShaBour Bakhtaier, and the king left, and ShaBour gave the country away, and Iran died after that. I also sadden to see great people were hang. I watched TV and saw Generals were hang one by one, and other being killed. It is nice to have King back, his son. God Bless his soul, the father, I liked him a lot. I live in Hamilton, Ontario- Canada, close to Toronto about 45 min drive.

By seeing this site, I can not avoid shedding tears. Tears of pride. Tears for the glories of a great empire. Tears for the heroes who has flown to the higher altitudes and will never come back. Tears of feelings which I share with the proud sons and daughters of our Iranian phoenixes. years and years in exile, far away from our dignity which has been left on the soil of our motherland Iran, living in loneliness with the memories of a great empire who was representing the great nation of Cyrus, "the great nation of all", I try to survive and convince myself, how I can be an efficient drop in an ocean of , which all children of Cyrus have to make to bring back these glories of the past. As a son of an army colonel under H.I.M. Shahanshah Aryamehr Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi (may his soul be in peace), I shake and press hands of the children of these heros and swear to the holy national flag of Iran and to the holy imperial flag of Iran that I will never stop fighting against the enemies of our land, If you brothers and sisters gather with me to make an efficient army against the evil. I´ve just made my mind. This is the first swear I´ve made. my army consists of one person. If it becomes 2 it would be better. There is not one day which my father sits and tells us some memories of the past, of conspiracies, devotions, experticism, pride and defeats. Executions of his best colleagues and classmates. Men of honor, totaly innocent which their bodies got torn apart by some prehistoric creatures and barbarians. My own friends families whom exprienced the torture and the sharpness of the enemy bullets in their souls and bodies. Let´s get gathered and make an army of Cyrus the great. It´s time now to libereate the glories of the past. It´s enough to suffer. It´s time to supply us with all kind of weapon against our enemies (domestic and foreign). We shall never let them come through any longer. We the children of the former Imperial Defense Force officeres shall contact eachother and make the uprise of a Guard-e-Javidan again. a sledghammer for our enemies.Let´s do that guys. Let´s do that. Only us can. this Guard has in my section 1 soldier until now. Inform me if you know anything about some joined forces. Bring the Imperial Forces to life again. This is our duty friends. Our parents has served theirs. with their lives. Let´s feel something. Let´s pay our debt to them. Let´s be the great wariors of Cyrus like them. Let´s talk to eachother. Drop the hasitators. Let´s make history. Let´s be great again. Let´s have the world´s respect again. Let´s not suffer in exile any longer. Let´s not finding us ruled by some barbarians or invaders. We have a home for God sack. Let´s get it back and live in it peacfully as a familiy of love and care. Although it´s a simple start, but it´s a movemnet. Let´s talk and find out what we can share together. Contact me on rztama@get2net.dk yours sincerely, Cyrus sincerely

I am very impressed with this web page, and I am very greatful that I have found it. For a long time I have had a long intrest in the Imperial Iranian Navy. I am serving my country Azerbajian in the army. I am a Chief Master Sargent, and I am serving near the NaroKarbakah area. I have visited Iran and it is a very beautiful country, I went to Iran once on a special request to train new Iranian soldiers. I am glad I found this webpage, and I will always remain intrested with Iran and the navy. Very Respectfully, Omar Jaber Alansari

I served aboard the heavy cruiser USS Boston (CA-69) from May 1968 to May 1970 (Decommissioning). While in Subic Bay, R.P. on 10 September 1969, we hosted a luncheon for the officers of the ISS Kahnamouie (F-28) and the ISS Milanian (I-21) in our wardroom. On my 1200-1600 watch on the 12th I noted in the log both ships stood out of harbor at 1510hrs and 1524 hrs resp. I was wondering if anyone has photos of these fine warships for my electronic "scrapbook" I have been gathering of my naval service? This is a fine and thoroughly edifying website. Best regards, John Taylor LT (Junior Grade) USNR 1967-70 P.S. I also graduated from Le Rosey School in Switzerland (1960-63).

Many thanks for this great site, many thanks indeed! As a naval aviator, it is my high honour to have served with a group of men and women whose love of Iran, officer quality, and dedication is of utmost caliber. While writing these thoughts, the sweet savor of the memories of all those years ago propel me along. As I marvel at those memories, I am yet filled with much greater hope for the future. it is , indeed, a great personal joy to call these men and women my friends. Our memories bless me every moment of my life! keep on; much greater things are yet to come! GOD Almighty bless you and yours and keep you in his good graces forever.

Hi. My name is Amir Attaie and I am the son of Admiral Ramzi Attaie who was at one time the Commander in Chief of the IIN. I did not find any information on him. Perhaps you would like copies of the photo collections I have. I doubt anyone outside the royal family has the kind of pictures I do. They reflect the respect and honor which the IIN served under. I would be happy to share these pictures with your nice website. Thank you and Happy New Year.

When I heard the Iranian National Anthem, it brought back many pleasant memories of yesteryears. For two reasons 1. That was our school anthem, at the BVS Parsi High School in Karachi. 2. And again, I use to hear this anthem played in Iran till '79. I personally have a natural affinity for the IINavy, as I belong to a family with naval tradition. May AhuraMazda bless you all, and bring Iran its glorious past, and an astonishing future. Hormuzd H Shekhdar

This site, beside the Imperial Iranian Airforce site, is one of my favorits.Sometimes, when I am alone at work, in the end of the day,I usually visit these sites and admire the great forces of the Imperial Iranian military forces. I don't care what kind of person Shah was and regardless of the fact that he left Iran, I want to pay my respect for his loyal officers(Army,Aiforce and Navy) who defended him and expressed their loyalty to him. Officers like General Rahimi, General Badrei, General Jahanbani, General Khosrodad and General Naji(I am sure there were also many brave Navy officers who got executed but I am sorry that I dont know their names). They stood there infront of the guns and died like worriers, with their life dedicated only to one man and one country, even they could have scaped long time befor the revolution broke out. What I admire with these people is their loyalty. They didn't beg for their life and didn't turn their back to their king. These officers will always be remembered for that.Iranian people still remember them and after saying their names wish God to rest their sole(Rahmat). I don't care about those who left Iran right before the revolution, just like if they knew that the revolution was about to come and they wouldn't stand a chance against it. Officers who scaped and left their friends behind in the hell. You just don't leave your fellows behind. I wish to thank you for making such a nice site making it possible for those who did't get the chance to see this great force in close. God rest the sole of all the brave officers and soldiers who lost their life in the revolution and in Iran Iraq war.

Good page, i was supprised to find apage like this, but I searched for information of a iranian navy high speed patrol craft, which bases on the swedish Boghammar RL-150-1A or RL-150-1B, and I find nothing about this on these page. Did anybody have informations about these vessels, especially about the history, the armament (I´ve got the information that it be a 12,7machine gun[M2 or NSVT, which is used by the IIN?], a 107mm multiple rocket launcher and a 106mm recoilles gun or a RPG-7 shoulder launched anti-tank weapon), the sensors (short range radar system uses the I-band called Decca 170) and the machinery(Ithink there existing two variants of motors a Volvo Penta TAMD 71A Diesel or a V-9 Diesel (manufactor?). Were could I find photos of these boats?

Salam I think these pages The airforce the navy etc etc..shows how great we were and people will see that Iran was once a very respected and honorble country. I think we must take back what we had. It's a shame, what we have accomplished. Thank you for such a great page /Mehran

I am so proud that our men & women in uniform not only made history in defending our homeland during forigne invasion while under scrutiny&suspision of own goverment but even now being forced out of the the homeland &surviving still have the courage &persistancy to work hard &make such an effort without any financial help in creating an outstanding site to inform our new generation & the rest of the world of our glorios past.I am sure the creator of this site has not done this for a return or thanks but I admire this& job well done.
